He was 5'6" tall, and if you crossed him, he was ALL up in my Chin (I'm 6'4"), and I've ALWAYS had a marked issue that if someone gets in my grill, and starts screaming (Half of it was unintentional Spit rolling outta that hole under his nose!!) His name WAS Martinez. Sergeant Martinez, Mister Martinez (Off the island) and GOD Martinez. Pretty much it.

I remember in my bootcamp days coming back to the bay and I noticed my locker unlocked. I sent my prayers that day. Either the DI didn’t find out or gave an unofficial warning. 😂. There were enough piles of crap that week look like we were getting ready for bon fires. 😅

One of my army drill sergeants in basic was pretty feared. One night I was put on fire guard duty with him in charge. He was cool as shit...he said as soon as you're done with the list (cleaning chores) we're gonna have some fun. We walked through the open bay barracks and he drew male genitals on the foreheads of some of the sleeping soldiers with a permanent black marker. Shaving cream in the hands of some others. Formation the next morning was a sight to remember. I could barely control my laughter.😂

The term was " the pit " and on Parris Island 3rd BAT Kilo Company Platoon 3069 it's probably the worst place to be especially with the whole platoon. 😑
